Aviation Club

The DLS aviation club meets during the activity period on Wednesday's to learn how to fly planes.

• Beginner level students learn to fly planes using flight simulators in the computer lab.
• Intermediate level students fly indoor planes in the gymnasiums.
• Advanced level students fly full-size radio controlled planes in area fields.

The same controllable system that is used for simulation is used for indoor planes and is used for full size radio controlled planes, so skills from one level are readily used for the other levels.
